Mission Statement

The mission of the Hamilton County Substance Abuse Mental Illness (SAMI) Planning and Leadership Project is to create a welcoming, accessible, integrated, continuous and comprehensive system of care that promotes recovery for individuals with SAMI co-occuring substance abuse and mental illness disorders.

Our primary goal is to help change the way people think about and treat co-occuring disorders.

We are about...
  • collaboration and integration across systems.

  • implementation of SAMI services that address the whole person.

  • helping individuals with co-occuring disorders

We are about Recovery!

This website contains many doors to resources, information and people working on dealing with co-occuring disorders. Take the time to look around and see what is available.

The information posted on this website is provided by various sources working on the issue of co-occuring disorders. As such, the Hamilton County Substance Abuse Mental Illness Planning and Leadership team is presenting a large spectrum of approaches and resources consistent with a specific philosophy, not making a clinical endorsement of any specific group, activity, document or resource.
